I am a boiler novice so bear with me. This boiler is a Potterton Statesman Flowsure which seems rather old! When I moved into this house my father in law rebuilt this boiler so I didnt have to buy a new one. There have been a string of problems with it and I'm at my wits end.
The latest thing is when I turn the heating switch to constant, the temperature goes right up to 120 within a few mins while hissing alot. The pressure drops so i added some more pressure tonight which equalled alot of water pouring out from underneath it.
It has had many dramas when I have asked it to provide me with some hot water and overheats alot. It has had many new parts put in by my father in law and he has come to a dead end as to why there is no pattern in the boilers actions.
Please can someone advise me before I consider buying a new boiler.
Thanks
