Hi all,

I’m looking for some advice regarding furniture placement and choices in a small room that has a large window and a uPVC door leading outside. I’m trying to avoid blocking light or restricting access, but also need practical storage and seating options.

What types of furniture work best in rooms where windows and doors take up a lot of wall space? Has anyone used built-in or slimline furniture around these areas without affecting ventilation or opening clearance?

Also, are there any common mistakes to avoid when placing furniture near doors or double glazing?

Any tips or examples from your own setups would be really helpful, especially in UK-style homes with limited space.

thanks in advance for any help
