    Hi,

I need concrete blocks in the gables. They will need to be rendered afterwards.

I understand Thermalite does not hold render vey well. So I am considering to use Hollw concrete blocks then fill with concrete.

    Any advice on this, please?.

    Thank you.

Can't you just use 100mm concrete blocks?

    Hi,
    Thank you for your response.

    Please see the attached Photos.

You will see that the end rafter is about flush with the inner side of the 215mm wall.

It seems to me that it is set for a wide concrete Lintel and a 440 X 215 X215mm.

So, a concrete block larger than 100mm is the one to use..

Lay the concrete blocks flat double bonded and it makes a 215 wall the same.
