Air con unit - UK, prices?

Hello, I've had enough of the last two days, I'm in the market for a properly fitted air con unit (one unit, one outdoor fan thingy) - we're not talking about the portable ones with a hose you have to stick out of the window, this will be something fitted to the wall.

Any guidance on the kinds of prices I should be looking at?

A friend of mine just had a quote of around £4500 installed in a 3 bed semi, apparently with air conditioning upstairs and downstairs.
