Ive been doing some decorating..Ive just pulled the bunch of wires from one of the sensors through its backplate without isolating the power supply to the alarm(240v)....Ive rewired the sensor and now I cant turn alarm system off :-(
Ive checked all the fuses in alarm control box but still wont turn off.....
Any ideas please......

In the manual for the Accenta 8 it says the factory code is 0123....Ive tried that but still wont stop the alarm sounding...

Can you not copy the wiring from another sensor and replace the wires ensuring that the tamper device is correctly seated at the same time?

Is it soundings internally or externally ? As you may have blown the fuse inside the panel , it should have a separate for the detectors but it may have been wired to the aux supply because of the Aritech high power sounder ,you may need a 1.6 amp quick blow fuse

All sorted.....
And for anyone with the same problem:-(taken from another forum)
Reset is as follows..
Disconnect power - (battery and mains)
Remove all wires from terminals 17(PA) and 27(set+)
Fit a link wire between these two terminals and connect power.
System will power up with no alarm.
Remove link and refit wiring.
Keypad will show any open zones.
