Knew it would happen one day. A regular customer has said that she's just bought an Aldi kitchen monobloc and wants me to fit it next week.

I've never seen one of these things in the flesh, but for 29 quid I'm fearing the worst. Is it worth the effort of fixing to the sink? Am I likely to be back in 6 months swapping it for something decent?

It's guaranteed for 3 years, which is all very well. It's not big money, but you have to factor in the cost of fitting something else if it doesn't last.

My experience of ALDI products has actually been very favourable, - don't let the low price put you off their gear is usually very serviceable

(mind you ALDI is also my top Client!)

You charge for fitting the next one - you didn't supply it. Not your problem.

Aye there is always that side to it, I suppose. Just curious more than worried about it. They do seem to sell a lot of these taps, but cheap taps are nearly always false economy.

If you mean the kitchen taps that they sell at the moment, we fitted exactly the same (the curved model) about five years ago. No problems at all with the installation or using it later on. Had to move house last year, going to buy another mixer tap from Aldi tomorrow as I've had enough of the current mixer with two separate handles.
