Personally I'd take the wheels to a bodyshop that advertises refurbs - you'll find they are competitive and unlike the mobile guys actually take the tyre off the rim.
I've only had one done, £50 plus vat and the job is perfect.
But I've seen a full set on ebay since

Indeed there are, and I've got no reason to doubt them at all.
However, my local bodyshop bakes the wheels in an oven, and I'm not sure how many mobile guys have this facility. They also do many refurbs with the tyre on, and I'm not so keen on that.
As said though, no personal experience.

At least as good as new - often better !

They stock most wheels (even obscure ones) already referb'd and simply swap with yours, I've yet to find a wheel design they can't do and the end result is simply SUPERB !

A mobile wheel refurbisher will likely turn up with a Dremel, a tin of filler and some paint. To do mine I was quoted £50 a wheel a couple of years ago.

Like Burner and Freddy said, find a proper wheel refurbisher who'll strip, clean, fill and repaint them - downside being you'll have your car on stands for a couple of days.

I had mine done at a local specialist for £47 a wheel late last year and I'm dead pleased with the results.
