My engineer diagnosed a leaking filter, where the cyclone is meant to remove particules from the water. Apparently tiny particles are not removed so well, and they build up and compromise the filter. It's just leaking a few drops every hour.

Since I have to have work done to replace the filter, should I have a magnaclean put in? Is this in addition to the Alpha filter, or instead of it?

I'm surprised that this filter failed so soon (just about a year) and that this seems to be a not uncommon problem. Anyway, all suggestions appreciated.

Thanks Paul. Would I be looking to pay for two filters or does the magnaclean work instead of the existing one? Sorry, I'm new to all this. Thanks.
