Altering staircase

Hi, anyones ideas on this would be much appreciated.
In my house the staircase runs up the exterior wall in one long run. However I was wondering if I could change this so that about 3 quarters way up it could be leveled out and turned right. The reason for this is that I want to use some of the space on the landing to extend my bathroom inwards.
Sounds a bit crazy but I was just wondering if it was possible.

Everything possible but without looking at your layout of joists etc, I can't really help you .......
