The 2 squares A and B are exactly the same colour/tint/ hue/shade.

If you do not believe this, take a piece of paper and cut 2 holes in so that you can only see the 2 squares, when placed on your screen.
Or put this picture into a paint program and black out the rest of the illusion, or you can cut and paste the 2 squares next to each other, away from the illusion.
This is no trick, just a very good illusion.........
Makes you wonder what else your eyes are fooled by....
