I am loving all these Trump supporters who are suddenly worried about the environment.

I am loving all these Trump supporters who are suddenly worried about the environment.
Who are they ?

I’m pointing out how ironic it is!!

And what a load of **** it all is. If it wasn’t, they wouldn’t pull a rain forest down to land 1k of planes.

You are a sausage

They aren't pulling a rain forest down and it's a road, not a runway.

They are pulling some protected rainforest down.

Where will the planes land ?

Why do you always feel the need to apologise for things like this ? It’s making a mockery or your precious climate change.

I'm not apologising but lies and exaggeration is how conspiracies theories start.
This is a fact. Rainforest down in the name of climate change.

They could meet in Orlando and see the new epic park.

Why pull protected trees down

It shows how “seriously” we are taking climate change.
It's all boll@x and anyone believing those crooks will rot in hell.
A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém.

The Amazon plays a vital role in absorbing carbon for the world and providing biodiversity, and many say this deforestation contradicts the very purpose of a climate summit.
That does nothing to the planet, it's absolutely fine.
I am the destroyer because I run a 20 year old car instead of replacing it every 3 years with a new one.
We know feckall...

Lula is falling out of favour with the working class vote in Brazil. Go figure.

My neighbours are both uni lecturers and climate change activists, ride bikes everywhere but think nothing of jumping on a jet and flying across the world every 5 min to some cockamimi climate conference.
You are lucky to have such intelligent neighbours.

I doubt you have anything in common with them

The flip side I have been reading is that it might be the least environmentally harmful way of delivering economic development to this area.
The least environmentally harmful thing to do would be to not bring economic development to the area.
If those invited to the anual COP party were actually concerned about climate change (they're not, by the way) then economic development would be one of the worst things that they could promote.
