Andy Murray-British winner or scottish loser?

No doubt some no nort (Alec Salmond) will want him knighted.

Some interesting comments from back in 2011!!

US open champ, Olympic gold medal and now the winner of Wimbledon!

A superb show of skill and true-grit today. Great stuff.

A true British champion for me! :D

I changed my opinion of him after he won gold for the UK at the Olympics..

I think Murray is a fine tennis player, just unfortunate at the moment there are number very very good players.
If he was playing back in Rudeski and Henman era, he would have won a few major championships.
Watch out for him, he's getting better and will win a big one!

That was me that was, when all you doubters were sticking the needle in ;)

great display of tenacity but I find the slog and run slog and run very physical type of tennis to be boring to watch from both players

more of a fitness test than any true artistry or skill

Federer always played the most artistic and skilful tennis without all the run and grunt that seems to be the rage these days

still a Scottish win is a Scottish win there first since apparently 1896

wonder when a Brit will actually win the damn thing!

The trouble nowadays I think is that it centers more around the serve without the skilful rallies you used to get; even more so since the iimprovements of rackets etc.

I'm a 1958 baby so you youngsters on here may not remember Roscoe Tanner who was clocked as having a 153 mph serve! That still takes some beating. :)
