Russ how do you arrrive at £200 figure. What makes you think a service engineer will be working 8 chargeable hours a day?
To charge £25.00 per hour is ONLY posssible if earning are not declared, transport is paid for by someone else, one does not have insurance cover to quote a few examples. Another thing you fail to take into account is some days it is one step forward, three back. Other calls one has to abandon the job to go looking for parts that are not found just round the corner or found at the bottom of the pile in the van.
Get real. You obviously are now waking up the fact that there are many so called heating engineer who are part changers and have yet to meet someone who takes pride in his work and will effect repairs or not charge. Such service is not and cannot be provided at £25.00 per hour and then have to cover the overhheads.
A field engineer would be very happy if he could get £25.00 per hour, ever hour of his working week. But that does not happen in real life. This is only imagined by newspapers and some who are unable to understand real life scenarios..
yeah because i have a merc!!!!!!!!! real world live in it!!!! £25ph cash if you work a 8hr day £200 do the math it isn"t a client fault if he hasn"t enought faults to fix in a day but i think in this day and age £50 a hr is pathetic don"t think john terry on that!!!!!!!
