Another "my boiler is losing pressure" post

I recently met a loss adjuster from the insurance company at a house that was flooded, the householder was out.

Dining room ceiling down large mahogany dining table ruined, laptop coverd in plaster a real mess.


No chance of me missing an opportunity it like this " What's the most common cause of leaks or floods in a house ?"

I am thankful this wasn't the case and the leak was downstairs. The water was able to drain off under the house but over time I guess the damage could have been a lot worse. We have a towel rail in the downstairs toilet which I've switched off (we no longer use the room). Guess what it's connected with both sides....
