There's not enough room to lock everybody up, and there's a massive backlog of court cases.

It's nothing to do with our individual opinions, it's actual day to day issues.

Was his case enough to lock him up until trial? I don't know. But blaming police for that and blaming them for allowing him to be free just doesn't add up.

It's yet another problem of our broken public services.

Some of the Rochdale grooming gang members absconded back to Pakistan whilst on bail, they'll never see justice, surely the authorities must have known the risk.

I'm not saying I don't want people locked up

I'm asking at what point should it happen.

Then think about the prison spaces and court backlogs. It's a broken system that needs time and money, another result of austerity that is costing us more now

People are saying he should have been locked up before trial. Lucy Connolly was guilty, should she have been let off? Why, because she is not Muslim ?

Take the emotion away and look at the issues and practicalities
