As 1600 people die each day in the UK, the vast majority will have had the vaccine.

They will have died after the vaccine, not necessarily from it.

Whilst I am a pro-vacc, that needs statement needs to be qualified a little...

When they say 1600 or 1559 died from the vaccine, I am sure they will have checked and be fairly sure it was as a direct result of having had the vaccine. As trazor suggests, most of the people who have died recently, will have in fact had the vaccine. All that needs to be considered is the number who have died without having the vaccine, versus the number who have died as a direct result of them having had the vaccine in time to prevent, or reduce the effects of the covid.

A further consideration to take into account, is the number who have had covid, survived it, yet being left crippled with 'long covid' - which is turning fit, healthy young people into living, crippled wrecks.

Point is - deaths are reducing drastically and thanks to the vaccine, no good reason to refuse it if offered it.

Not from the yellow card data. That's not validated. It doesn't require proof or any qualification to make a report.

I'd hope that for deaths they check that the person identified by whoever reports it is actually dead, but it is designed to catch every possible report so that they can be investigated later.

People forget the the group that balances risk when vaccines are being considered. It's very clear cut to them. They will also consider benefits - reducing spread, R value changes or what ever technique is used. With a new virus that has to be partly a guess based one what vaccines usually achieve. Always against risk to the people who have the vaccine.

The AZ and clots was a maybe. One of the Scandinavian countries looked at it. They looked over several years to see how often clots cropped up in the age groups concerned. It looked like there may be more. Bit different to just looking at a yellow card type system. Our lot have the capability to get at similar information as well. Some people of all ages die every day. Some will do that just after they have the vaccine. Might be 1 week, 2 weeks later etc but they may have died anyway. It's just more days for people to die in.

All very silly. We've lifted most restrictions, pubs, shops, streets are packed again, people are out having fun and mixing, and covid deaths are staying in their 20s daily, as opposed to over a 1000 a day.

The vaccinations have been the biggest and most important medical breakthrough in quite some time, and GB was leading the way.

No reason why not at all. Most probably do. It's more interesting why people think that people need to feel that way. That is down to how the world works. We are only a tiny part of it. Didley squat can be done about that completely really.

Vaccine - currently finding out how effective it is. Recently we are now seeing the freedom day case increase rate. A proportion of the population is still taking precautions. They expected that. Death rolling average is now close to 100 a day. A lot of people were told to isolate to avoid catching it early on. Can't remember how many. Sounds like the support is being dropped.

It's still early days really and as Boris said they may have to step in again.

Yesterday's mentioned accelerating 3rd jab rates and taking more notice of people who didn't get jabbed. Their health system may overload. Mention of the jabs making them over confident.

Our state currently looks good.
