:confused: Hi

We've found the style of WC & basin we want, but cannot get an answer from the manufacture or find a stockist that has this suite on display.

All we want to know is the bowl size - the section where the water sits,
and cistern size (flush in litres).

All the modern toilets we've seen so far have a small dimension at the
bottom of the pan. We're concerned that although the suite we want
looks traditional it might still have incorporated this small design.

I don't know - but the small aperture looks like a recipe for blockages?

Manufacture: Balterley
Name of style: Ambience

Here is a link to the image;

And here is a technical drawing of bowl (scroll down to bottom of page);

It's a toilet based on Victorian lines but modern (and a very good price).

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

6 litre flush :idea: small aperture designed for use with it`s matching cistern :idea: some old syphonic pans had tiny apertures - yet drew the contents away brilliantly

It's a matter of legislation - to meet current standards, all WCs are now designed to work with a 6 litre flush instead of the old 9 litre standard.

They do tend to be more prone to blockages, and require multiple flushes to clear the pan, but we seem to be stuck with the legislation. After all, two or three 6 litre flushes obviously saves lots of water compared with a single 9 litre flush :rolleyes:

Someone should invent a WC pan that has a pre-flush as part of the cycle :idea: Shyte sticks Less to a wet surface than a Dry one - I`ve been experimenting
