Is anyone else as silly as me and planning (or have already done so) to shell out for the Remasters of The Beatles albums which have just come onto the market?

£170 for the box set and worth every penny. The quality is superb and they all sound a lot clearer with the superb polish job.

Abbey Rd is particularly brill and well recommended.

I would pay that amount for certain classical pieces if they were available.

£170 for a box set I only payed a couple of hundred for my whole kit on a internet auction site. £1.00 per album @ boot fairs is enough.

re-mastered onto what?
if it's CD then don't bother, you loose all of the "flavour" on CD...

They really are superb but I agree that vinyl is in a world of its own.
