Any reason that boiler condensate might become more acidic?

We have a Glow worm Ultracom 24HXi, it was last serviced just under a year ago.

The condensate drains into a foul drain. The external condensate pipe run is minimal, approx 3-4 inches. The condensate drips onto a sloped area of cement before dropping into the ceramic drain.

I have noticed that the condensate has started to erode the cement where it drips onto it. I don't remember seeing any evidence of this when we moved into the house in october and the boiler is only 2 years old.

Could something be causing the condensate to become more acidic or is it just the inevitable consequences of condensate dripping onto cement?
