I don't know an local structural engineers, but I think a few of the regulars on here are suitably qualified.

I have an extension that needs a few RSJs calculated. I have full plans and planning is approved.

I will pay market rate but I'd prefer to pay someone that has contributed/helped me over the years with my DIY queries than a total stranger.

Let me know if anyone is interested?
    Cheers
    Andy

I used a guy off here that's based in Manchester to calculate mine, I had originally used an online calculator but my local council wouldn't accept them. He was a pleasure to deal with. Send me a message and I'll give you his e-mail.

75% of it is and he was 50% cheaper than the other guy so can't complain.

Just stick a piece of triple glazing over the front of that then phone Kevin McCloud. You'll be fine.

Ok, so was trying to give something back to the forum. It could have been interesting as I would be quite happy to post up the plans and the calcs and the price to help others with the process (although I appreciate that every situation and calc is different(.

Thanks to those for the useful comments

Hi Andy, in your profile, enable the ability for other users to send you private messages and I think you'll get a lot more out of this thread :)
