Hmm Looks like their time is up.

Many, including the star of the picture, have died in the last few days.

We now have 6 left...

They're a great talking point for visitors - Triassic creatures in 2008!!

they must be queing up out the door to see them!

Not quite, but put it this way. Mention Triops to 99.9% of folk you meet and they have not got the foggiest what you're on about.

How could you tell that the one that died was the one in the picture? Did it have a different plumage?

It was the biggest!

The last Triops was found dead this morning.

One must question whether you have the credentials to keep them as pets after letting the lot die, just dont volunteer to look after the neighbours cat!

triops only live about 30-40 days..

In that case, they've had a good innings.
