Anyone know how to fix this?

So I have a toilet which is overflowing outside through the overflow pipe. I lifted the top off to see what was happening- I seem to have identified the problem but not sure how to fix it. It's the blue plastic fitting on the right which seems to be leaking water, it's kinda hidden underneath the white plastic water inlet. Any thoughts? Is there a rubber seal in them? Should I just try and tighten? Complete novice and never touched any plumbing in my life so very unsure whether to attempt the fix or get someone else to sort it. Thanks in advance for any help. Also if there are any video links that would assist that would also be much appreciated.

No water keeps leaking from the blue plastic screw parts..

Not even worth turning the water off

I done one live on a cold water storage tank, I was just changing the half on the inside of the tank. As soon as I undone the large nut the water was shooting out. It was 5 bar of pressure, the tank started to fill up. I had to run down stairs and open the bath taps, kitchen tap and garden tap.
I managed to find the stopcock and run up into the loft to find it just brimming to the top of the tank.

Oh my god, not going to that in a hurry again.

See the blue screw bits in the picture- what tool is best to tighten it? My adjustable spanner is too small. I have other tools but these are too big- please see picture. Is there a tool I am missing? Or can they only be hand tightened?

the blue handled grips should work fine ,if you can't tighten by hand . and go gently ,the nuts are quite soft plastic

I wonder how many plumbers would have just done that if you had called them out?

Probably big up the job to isolate the water supply and replace the float valve.

There should be an isolating valve fitted under the cistern! That's required under the Water regulations!
