Hey everyone,

Is anyone here planning or recently got seamless gutter installation services in Pensacola, FL? I’m thinking about upgrading since my current gutters keep leaking and clogging.

Just wanted to hear some real experiences are seamless gutters actually worth it in the long run?

Thanks!

Thanks for pointing that out! I’m actually based in the US, was just looking for some general advice on seamless gutters. Appreciate the reply

We had some of the rare "seamless" gutters in the UK at a previous house.

I use the quotation marks as there definitely are seams, at every corner or end cap. And they start leaking long before the plastic ones with rubber seals leak.

Plus the stupid crinkly downpipes look third world and usually leak from every joint.

Seamless gutters are utter rubbish. Which is probably why they're so popular in the USA, along with the useless cloth shingles they think are a roof covering.

I replaced all of ours with plastic, which usually last many decades and if the seals ever leak then they can be replaced.

You don't like them then? :giggle:

OP,
Its great that you actually have existing gutters, so many Fla & Ca houses dont have any guttering.I presume that you have Alu gutters?
Are your gutters failing at corners, seams & joins? How are the seams sealed?
Do you have correct falls of 1:40 to outlets? Are the hangers centred & fixed correctly?
If you post pics I might be able to help?

Alu seamless gutters are what they are - the majority gutters in the US & the cheapest.
Done properly they will last many years.

Poster #7,
What dramatic claims you make on the basis, so it seems, of one possible example?
No need for "quotation marks" - unless your fantasy of a seamless gutter was that it was going to be one unbroken single installation with no breaks whatsoever. Kind of like a long rope tied around the eaves?
If such a thing could be manufactured on the ground then how would it be lifted for fixing at say three story eaves height?

You claim the seals start leaking before "the plastic ones with rubber seals" - how do you know?
You also claim that "stupid crinkly down pipes leak from every joint" - how can an inanimate object be stupid?
How many pipe "joints" are you referring to?
"crinkly downpipes" - you say: "utter rubbish" you badmouth - please stop this fantasy please stay in reality?
Where is the evidence for any of your claims?

Americans dont use "cloth shingles"- billions of asphalt shingles are used to protect against ferocious weather patterns of wind rain snow & blistering heat, & they work, they protect.
America gave you the computor or phone you are using, & fwiw they like to circle the moon.

Did they put a seamless gutter around it?
