How did you know? I once had a skip on the drive and was woken at 6 a.m. by the sound of somebody rifling through it. It was the 'metal recyclers'. When I asked what they were doing (from the bedroom window) they asked if I had any metal! My neighbour left his shredder overnight on the drive and they were putting it into their van at 7 o'clock in the morning when he managed to intervene. They reckoned that 'everyone leaves their metal out' for them to take.
