We have to install to standards and if the system does not comply then it can not be connected to the monitoring station if police response is required.
If it is for your shop then I would check your insurance ,if not contact your insurance company and ask if they have any insurance requirements.

The insurance do not require monitored or police response. I can monitor it myself if I get notifications, I have CCTV also, etc. So I can check CCTV at alarm and call police if I see a break in. Just wondered if it would be cost effective to pay someone else to do that. Maybe not, as I installed it myself, as a Grade 2 system.
