Are garden Wasps active at this time of year?

I’d happily barbecue a nest with a blowtorch if I wasn’t too cowardly to get anywhere near it!

That is liable to get you badly hurt even if you weren't a fairy The spray foam nest killer stuff is really good though - nests are built with a since entrance so as soon as you glom that up they are trapped while you spray the rest of the nest.

That said, I did once rig up an old gutter to pour petrol into a nest in the ground and threw a match at it. I was lucky to escape injury on at least two counts!
