I am an experienced gas breakdown engineer looking for a new job, as my current employers are taking the mick and on a regular basis ! I've looked on the Heateam website and it does say on there that are recruiting nationwide, but is that just a speculative recruitment drive just to compile engineer details should they need to recruit or are they actively seeking to recruit ? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.....thanks in advance.

In this area they have been running recruitment open days at a local hotel. They are taking people on full time, I know someone who got through to the second round of interviews.

Yeah petit I am a BG engineer. I'm guessing you are too and you noticed by the 'taking the mick' comment ?

Mark. When you say 'in this area' do you mean my area or yours ? :?:

How did i guess  Guys are leaving in droves at the moment. Im tempted to uproot but have only been qualified 2 1/2years and still find occasional jobs that i look at blankly lol. At least from my point of view i can continue to learn the trade with BG before making the break.

Good luck job hunting

And you might too when 5 day summer rosters are here.
The only reason why most engineers stay

I saw the advert on the website as well so forwarded my CV, got email saying it had been passed to relevant person and had been put into recruitment process. That was 2 weeks ago and heard nothing.
I hear ya mate about taking the Mick. Good luck fella, we gonna need it

4 days work one day strike, suits me equally as well  . I think the cull will be complete before that tactic is used. We hadn't lost a guy for 5 years from our team of 15 but we have 4 / 5 going now before christmas!

Its one of the BG haters but DM never used to abuse me, not to say he wouldnt mind lol. Ive got no interest in rising to their bait ive got better things to do than get my kicks from faceless posting on the internet.
