Are there favoured brands of Consumer Units?

Me and my boss use hagar

have never had a problem with the unit/breaker that i seem to remember in the 3 1/2 years ive worked with him.

i have a 11 year old hagar unit at home and havent had a problem with it (touches wood )

Thanks again. I was minded that I should replace them all but I didn't want to chuck them away, if that wasn't normal practice.

I'm sure a lot of sparks keep a stock of 2nd hand MCBs for the day when the consumer unit is obsolete!
If you are being paid to fit new MCBs then you should fit new ones.
