What is the difference between the blue and yellow artic flex cable? Is it purely cosmetic? Why don't they do it in white or black?

I am going to use it to connect a plug in my masterseal socket to a 4 gang socket strip in a weathersafe box about 0.75 metre away.

Can Artic Flex be buried?

The blue arctic flex is generally used in industry for 240v applications.
The yellow arctic flex is used for 110v applications.
Arctic flex is not suitable for direct burial in the ground (unless it is in an earthed metallic conduit). SWA is more appropriate for direct burial, however SWA can't be terminated into a bog standard 13A plugtop.

Thanks for the reply. Would it be ok to use 3 core rubber flex between the plug and the socket in the weatherbox. This would be clipped to the wall for about 0.75m

yes the Butyl rubber flex in black is suitable. Im sure ive used Artic flex that was black for a festive lighting installation a few years back.
