Thinking of upgrading our 30+yo Potterton system boiler, but looking for some advice. Parts of the boiler are lagged in asbestos and the header tank is likely made of it. (there's a chance the loft insulation is made of it too). Would this all need to be removed before any work started?
also, would it be possible to keep most of the existing system (after it's been flushed)?
