asbestos garage roof

Hi all

I have a garage roof which I believe has a asbestos roof. I am wanting to turn it in a games room. Which I intended to stud out and board, using correct material. My question is would Ineed to rremove the asbestos via a contractor or could I maybe leave the roof undisturbed and carry out the stud work etc?

I'd leave it undisturbed. There's very little risk from an undisturbed asbestos garage roof.
