Hi all,

I’m trying to disconnect the output side of an Ashley J803 junction box as I’m wiring a security light. I opened the box and was greeted with this:

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to disconnect this junction box! The little plastic connectors that I am pointing at in the final photo are removable- they slid out when I popped a screwdriver underneath them. But I can see no way of disconnecting the wires and they won’t pull out! Any ideas? I don’t want to just cut the whole thing off, I’d like to reuse it if I can!

push down on the plastic button on top of the connector block and pull the wire out. IIRC you have to push pretty hard.

Worked, cheers!!!!!
I apologize in advance for this Post.

However,
the instruction to "Push Down" before you "Pull pretty hard"
reminded me of the instruction given by Anna Russel in her treatise on
"How to Enjoy Your Bagpipe"

wherein (between 4:05 and 4:40) she enjoins one to "Twiddle Before You Push"
with a poor result at 8:30 to 8:50 -
because she "Pushed before she Twiddled".
