What is it that makes these valves start to stick after some time? Over the years I've replaced the one on my oil tank two or three times and the current one was only replaced about a year ago yet it's already starting to get pretty tough to pull out and push back in.
The main aluminium body (that the pull to read valve, sight gauge and fuel lines screws into) was last replaced about ten years ago or more in case that's relevant.
I have noticed in the past that old removed valves are ever so slightly rusty, but why would they rust when coated with kerosene?
I should note that last year's newly installed valve has been working just fine until recently.
