attaching pelmets

hi fellas,
about to fit bull nose pelmets to my wall cabinets and i was wondering if there is any particular way to attach them to the units and also if my mitres are not spot on whats the best way to hide any imperfections?

what do you mean by pelmit!!!
pelmit = curtains :LOL: or top off a cabininet ;)


do you want it to fit cut square or at an angle [sloping forward] on all edges!!

bull nose wont be a problem but withought a picture its hard to visualise your design

BA there's a clue in the question ;)

If they are lighting plemets then modesty blocks can be used behind the pelmet or you could drill down through the bottom of the carcase and screw into the pelmet, then put a cap in the screw hole but I prefer not to see this type of thing.

As for filling any gaps find a mastic or worktop joint compound the same colour as the pelmet finish.
