AUDI A4 1.9 TDI 2003

My clutch pedal stuck down on me whilst driving. I managed to lift it up and the pedal pulses when I depress it, but it won't engage the gears. I'm not sure whether its a hydraulic slave cylinder problem or the clutch itself.[/b]

I think the most likely fault will be the clutch release bearing / pressure plate.
