[b]Filling an old flue opening[/b]

Hi

I have had an old boiler removed and re-positioned. The old flue opening through a double skin external wall has been left (approx. 125mm diameter).

Can anyone tell me please what the best way is to fill the opening?

mortar-in a piece of block into the internal hole and tooth out and replace the damaged external bricks.
