B & Q Deal

normally B+Q are OTT for prices, but sometimes when they have a good special sorted out, they can become competative with the wholesalers on some items for a little bit, before reverting to being OTT again...

Second that. They seem to have completely got rid of their more reasonably priced trade packs of items such as plumbing accessories and cable clips, in favour of individually bagged items at ludicrous prices.

I have found that the special prices for BOGOF items in Somerfield/Co-op are not true. When you get to the checkout there is no BOGOF, by the tie you notice you're at home. I have now started watching out for it and reporting it to the manager when it happens. He says that they have run out of the BOGOF size of the item and someone has put a slightly different size out on the same shelf. This excuse has been quoted to me on three separate occasions. On the third I said that I find it quite incredible and that would report them to trading standards next time I noticed it. He then claimed a disgruntled member of staff was deliberately doing it.

True?

They have a 15% off offer on at the moment go to the web site and print off the voucher. Good time to invest in copper ahead of the VAT rise. I think that the 15% beats the wholesellers at the mo. Please correct me if I am wrong. I would love to start a "copper watch" page for electricians. I wonder if it could be done on here

You can only proceed on the basis that the store manager would not tell lies to one of his customers. He told you that he knew he had a disgruntled employee creating trading offences.

Report them to TSO and report the store manager to Tim Hurrell, Managing Director, Food Retail.
