Hi, I'm going to be replacing a freestanding electric cooker with a ceramic hob(NO OVEN), the hob is rated 30 AMP. Can I wire the hob straight back into the old cooker's socket..? thanx

Ok, but the old freestanding cooker/oven already had its own isolated switch so surely I can wire the hob straight into that..?

Sorry but I thought my explanation was very clear. I have removed an electric cooker that was wired into its own supply with an isolated switch. Now I want to know should I wire the new hob into the separate supply with its own isolator..?
