Basin unit screw size for bracket

Hi, I have purchased a 800mm wide floating basin vanity unit Which will need wall mounting.

My question is what size screws to use for the brackets.

The wall is solid brick with skimmed plaster on top.

I have two brackets to attach to the wall each with 3 holes to hang the unit on. The vanity unit and basin weights 42kg.

1) what screws would be sensible here would the duopower 8x65 plugs with the supplied 5x80mm screws be adequate as the picture for the brackets?

2) do I need to put all 3 screws to each bracket or can I get away with 2 screws per bracket

1. As the wall is solid brick there's no reason to think the screws supplied aren't up to the job. The plug pull-out force will be the limiting factor, not the screw strength
2. If 3 screws per bracket are supplied I would use them. Why skimp the job for a few minutes more work?

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it didn't come with any screws and the instructions said consult your DIY store , which prompted the question here.

The Fischer duo plugs and screws in the picture were my suggestion, suspect 3 of these in each bracket should be up for the job,?not sure what is normally suggested for a job like this? Thanks

The instructions show all 3 holes used, so I'd go with that. 5mm dia screws should be fine.
I suppose the galv steel brackets go direct on the wall, but not 100% clear to me. Those plugs look like they're tapped in flush with the wall surface, but if anything 80mm long screws seems overkill.
There are other types of plug. I assume you're familiar with plugging a wall, but if not, make sure enough of the plug is in the brick. Check the thickness of plaster and cement render, but at a guess I'd think 50mm long would be enough.

Yes the bracket goes to the wall and then adjustable hangers from the unit hang onto the wall brackets.

Thanks for the feedback will go with the duopower ones as first post suspect will loose 5-10mm in skim!

The duofix will be fine. Personally, after fitting the plugs, I would remove the plug collar. Just me though... It will let the fittings sit 100% flush to the wall. Keeping the collars won't cause any problems though.
