Bath panels before or after tiles and skirting

Which way?:

1. Fit bath panels then do skirting and tiling up to the panels

or

2. Do skirting and tiles then scribe the bath panels to fit.

I've not bought the bath panels yet. It's an 800 by 1800 bath, so the choice of panels is a bit limited. But I did find some (in coated mdf I think) that have an adjustable plinth.
