has anyone experienced problems with pop up wastes supplied with b&q bathroom suites ie the bush gradually working its way from the plastic housing causing water to leak from the joint.

If you install a pop-up waste you're simply taking a gamble that it will take longer to jam up and/or before your own predicted date. Maybe it will, maybe it won't.
If you want your pop-up waste to never jam up or leak, then take it off your basin and put it in the bin.
