when draining the bath or the basin, a clicking sound like water dripping sounds on the ceiling above. This is curious because the water drains downwards and does not go near the ceiling and there is no sign of leaking above he ceiling. I wondered if it was not a leak but a clicking cause by a change of pressure when water is drained throught the drain pipes. Any ideas?

Mine does that as well! I can stop it temporarily by wiggling the drainage pipe from the basin to the soilstack. So I suspect it's just the plastic pipes moving against the wooden supports under the weight of water. I intend to fix it permanently when I replace my tiles.
