Hi all.

My girlfriends flat which she is about to rent out has a double plug socket in the bathroom. Obviously Im aware this is not allowed so needs to be removed.

It used to be a flex outlet for a panel heater. She removed this, swapped it to a socket, and installed a new overhead infrared heater which is plugged into this socket. She's European, they are allowed sockets in bathrooms over there.

The socket is fed by an FCU outside of the bathroom at low level. I need to find a way of still powering the overhead IR heater panel with a switch whilst losing the socket in the bathroom or blanking it off.

Is it allowed to replace the double socket with a fixed 13A switch with flex outlet and hardwire tye overhead IR panel into this, in the bathroom? It will be in zone 3.

If it's feeding a panel on the ceiling wouldn't it be neater to bring the power in from above anyway?

You can have a socket 2.5m from the edge of the bath or shower
Bathroom not big enough.

I could but still need an accessible switch for the heater panel. At moment it's flex from the socket, up the wall across the ceiling and down to the heater. The ceiling is high, 3.5m up.
