My bathroom fan is not working. I will replace it, but I figured out wiring is strange isolator also disconnects light. How do I change the connections so that isolator only controls the fan

Please see photos at the link

There are a few ways of wiring a fan and light in the bathroom,
The common way is to use a 3 pole isolator from the light (rose on a 4 plate system) to the isolator and then from the isolator to the fan.
This allows you to switch the isolator to OFF position and will cut off all poles to the fan yet still leave the light working.

The 3 poles to the fan are usually labelled L1, L2 & N.
So that is permanent L from the rose and then switched L from the rose and then N from the rose.
The permanent L is usually the timed over run supply or humidistat etc and the switched L is to give it the instruction to start once the light is switched on.

Hope that helps

Sounds like the permanent live goes to the switch via the isolator, if so trace it, disconnect and link it to the feed to the switch until you have figured out the new fan wiring.

The 3C+E should only be on one side of the isolator as that connects to the fan. So the grey on a side opposite to the black and its brown is wrong

What is the wiring at the bathroom light switch?

You need to figure out what each of the twin and earth do as you have three in there
