I have a pull cord for the fan and a separate pull cord for the lights.

Thinking i knew what i wanted to replace the fan switch, i bought a 2 way pull cord.

however the connections to the current switch are :
1 way
2 way
COM
N
and an earth.

Can i somehow connect with the 2 way switch (L1, L2 COM) or is it i need a double pole switch? If so where can i get one?

thanks

Yep, all being used…

Worked it out from an old tread on here i think...

I had (i still think?) a double pole switch, where both the live and neutral are switched, (Switch was a Tenby MG888)

I've now used a single way pull switch, connected one of the red lives to L1 and the other to COMMON. I've then connected the two neutrals together, so now the live only is switched. Connected earths as normal.

Works so i guess i have done this right, is it right from a safety point of view?

Those legends make absolutely no sense for a DP switch.

How and where did you join the neutrals?
