bathroom installation Queries- Re Guarantee

Hopefully I will get a reply to this - further to everyones' kind help over the past few days in relation to my new installation, I omitted to ask if all plumbers give a standard guarantee for their work. I believe this is a 12 month guarantee covering any problems relating to the installation. Is this correct?
I'm pretty sure my plumber said 12 months but don't have it in writing.

Given the number of people 'all' represents, the only things one can say, with any certainty, they've all got in common is that they eat, sleep and excrete at some stage.
