bathroom light, extractor fan just stopped working

hi guys bathroom light and extractor fan just packed up replaced fan as pull cord on fan was faulty and didnt have the same resistance as b4 but wiv no joy so replaced the 1way light pull switch still wiv no joy circuit is sound breakers not tripping no loose connections all out of ideas plz help

Because the fans often say they should be protected by 3A fuse some people supply them from FCU and sometimes these are not too easy to find and installed in loft for example.

I would be looking for a fuse hidden away.

You seem to be doing this by trial and error. That's a very expensive way to sort out a problem.

Do you have a voltage test instrument (NOT a neon screwdriver).
If not, go and buy or borrow one.

With a multimeter check for 230v at the fitting. If you have this then there is something wrong with your new fan. ;)

If there isn't 230v at the fitting, then how far along the circuit is there 230v?
