I would like to put standard pendant light fittings in my bathroom...

is this OK??

Yes.

However, the bulb should be >2.25m above the floor OR 600mm. from a vertical line at the edge of the bath or shower.

I like these, you may not.

There is no zone associated with a basin.


The OP wants to fit a pendant so my advice is all he needs to consider.

Dunno about now but in the 15th, you used to have to fit a HO skirt.
Haven't fitted a pendant set in a bathroom since 1990.

As securespark has already implicated, you don't want a pendant in a bathroom.

(I imagine moisture could run down the flex into the lampholder too.)

A skirted battenholder is far better, and was the norm for bathrooms once.

(A pendant looks ridiculous in a bathroom.)

As someone else mentioned, check the 'zones' before doing anything.
