I am at the lighting stage in our bathroom/wetroom refit.

I want to go for the downlighters but do youhave to use special ones for shower rooms if thet are 12v?

I have seen loads on the market and most say ok for bathrooms but I just want to check. Do they eed to be a closed face for bathroom?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Put very simply, they need to be rated for the zone in which they are placed. Look up a diagram of bathroom zones, work out which yours are in, then buy fittings suitable for mounting within that zone.

a "zone diagram" can be found on page 2 of "for reference"

Be very careful

All the 12V downlight packages from Q&B are marked "suitable for bathroom use"

Then it states "for use in zone 3 only"

To the general public, I feel this is misleading to say the least

Check the Zone diagram and you will see that this severely restricts where these can actually be used
