bathroom rad with immersion

I have had a towel radiator fitted in the bathroom and have an immersion element to go with it,it is 300watt,would this be powered via the socket ring main or would it need its own circuit to the cu?Also what size cable would be needed?

300 Watts does not need a separate circuit and connecting it into a ring final would be fine. Read this

it will tell you a bit about the bathroom zoning system and where you can place things. Provided the zones allowed, I would connect a heater like this to a switched fused spur outlet with a 3 Amp fuse connected into a ring main using this sort of flex

If that ring circuit does not have an RCD then use an RCD spur (you'll have to soon in any case).
Right now also you will need to provide equipotential bonding to the radiator.

Oh yes, and you'll have to notify the local authority (or use a registered sparky) - its electrical works in a bathroom!

I saw one once on the 25 June 1985, travelling very slowly towards Ullapool. It was a 1952 Austin A40.

But I've not seen anything since - maybe he got lost...

Hi there,
what size cable should I use to bond it?
2.5mm or 4mm?
The cable to the element quite short so the connecting plate is at the bottom of the rail (bottom entry....ooohhh eeerrr),is it ok to cross bond from the plate to the rad pipe?
I was told to bond a shower I installed to the radiator pipe in the loft and also to the earth in the light switch,do I need to do the same with this radiator?

Oh I forgot,it is an rcd protected circuit on a split board.
